Jean: And I’m Jean.
Jo: In Real English, we look at words and phrases that you might not find in your dictionary.
Jo: Today’s new expression is ‘whizz-kid’ – W.H.I.Z.Z. kid.
Jean: Whizz-kid.
Jo: Well, whizz-kid is an expression that means someone who is young, successful and very good at what they do.
Jo: It’s usually used in a business environment, or in the news talking about business.
Jo: Many puter programmers are very young, and very successful, so you could call them puter whizz-kids.
Jean: I see.
Jo: But it doesn’t have to be puters.

Whizz-kid! Well, it looks like we are out of time.
